Juventus want to re-sign Federico Chiesa from Liverpool, and the Reds want 20 million euros from them to consider selling him, according to Tuttojuve.
The Italian was on the books of Juventus between 2020 and 2024 before moving to Liverpool, where he won the Premier League in his first season in England. Despite that achievement, Chiesa has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter at Anfield and remains one of the players who could depart during the current transfer window.
His time in England has been characterised by flashes of quality rather than sustained opportunities in the starting eleven. Although he arrived with high expectations, competition for places and tactical considerations have limited his involvement.
Chiesa Facing Uncertain Liverpool Future
Chiesa was signed by Arne Slot, but he never convinced the Dutchman to make him a regular starter, even after Liverpool lost Luis Diaz. He now faces the challenge of proving himself to Andoni Iraola as he attempts to secure a more prominent role within the squad.
However, Liverpool have reportedly opened the door to his departure. The report claims that the Reds value the winger at 20 million euros and would only consider selling him if that asking price is met. The Merseyside club believe the fee accurately reflects both his experience and his ability despite his lack of regular starts.
With two years remaining on his contract, Liverpool are under no immediate pressure to sanction a transfer. They are prepared to retain him for another season if no club is willing to satisfy their valuation.
Juventus Weigh Up Potential Return
Juventus are understood to be interested in bringing Chiesa back to Turin as they continue shaping their squad for the future. His familiarity with Italian football and previous success at the club make him an attractive option.
Nevertheless, completing such a deal may prove difficult. Juventus could struggle to meet Liverpool’s financial demands, particularly as the proposed fee is considerably higher than the amount they received when they sold him to the Reds in the summer of 2024.
The coming weeks could determine whether Chiesa remains in England or returns to Serie A for the next chapter of his career.
