In a bid to continue their relationship beyond this season, Dusan Vlahovic and Juventus are considering signing a short-term deal for one or two more years.
For several months, Juventus have been attempting to persuade the Serbian striker to sign a new contract and have held multiple rounds of discussions with his representatives, but they have so far been unable to reach an agreement.
With Damien Comolli previously in place, it appeared the possibility of a renewal had been closed off, but his departure has reopened discussions and the club are now exploring ways to retain the forward.
Juventus contract talks and renewed approach
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are now considering offering the attacker a short-term extension and are working towards finding common ground on those terms.
Vlahovic also appears to have opened the door to a new agreement worth around €8 million per season, similar to the arrangement Adrien Rabiot accepted when he extended his stay at the club for a further year.
Juventus are aware of how costly it would be to replace him with another top-level striker, and this has encouraged them to continue negotiations in an attempt to secure his future at the club.
Player stance and club expectations
Luciano Spalletti is reportedly keen to continue working with Vlahovic and supports efforts to keep him in the squad, which has added further momentum to Juventus’ attempts to reach an agreement.
In the coming days, it is expected to become clearer whether both sides can finalise a deal that keeps the striker in Turin for at least another season.
For now, Juventus remain confident, particularly as Vlahovic has not secured a move to another club since the beginning of 2026, leaving the door open for continued negotiations and a possible compromise between player and club.
