Paulo Sousa tells Juventus how they can get back to the top

Paulo Sousa was part of the Juventus side that last won the Champions League, and he is clearly disappointed to see the club struggling to return to the top level of European and Italian football in recent seasons.

The Old Lady last won the league title in 2020 and have since invested heavily in an attempt to regain their dominance, but despite significant spending on players and major changes behind the scenes, they have still been unable to achieve that objective.

Juventus Continue Search for Success

Alongside signing several new players, Juventus have also replaced multiple managers after failing to secure the level of success expected at the club. Luciano Spalletti is now the latest coach entrusted with leading the team back towards major honours in the coming seasons.

The men in black and white remain confident that they can eventually return to the top and are expected to continue supporting their manager with new signings as they attempt to strengthen the squad further. Club officials reportedly believe the current rebuilding process is moving in the right direction despite recent disappointments.

There is also belief at the Allianz Stadium that the end of the club’s trophy drought may not be far away, with Spalletti viewed as a manager capable of guiding Juventus back to competing consistently for league titles and other major trophies.

Paulo Sousa Discusses Club Rebuild

Sousa has now spoken about what Juventus must do to become a leading force again and restore the standards supporters have become accustomed to over many years of success.

As quoted by Tuttosport, he said:

“Its renewal process coincided with the peak of other teams, creating a wider competitive gap. Not all clubs manage to stay at the top all the time; just look at United after Ferguson’s departure.

“We need the right structure, charismatic and ambitious leadership, a well-defined project, something that is not always compatible with the immediate pressure of results.

“These are the conditions for Juventus to return to what they have accustomed us to.”

His comments highlight the importance of stability, planning, and long-term vision as Juventus continue their efforts to rebuild and compete again at the highest level.
