Dusan Vlahovic is approaching the end of his Juventus contract with just days remaining before he becomes a free agent, and uncertainty continues to surround the striker’s future ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Serbian rejected Juventus’ proposal for a new contract, which reportedly included a significant reduction in salary compared to his current earnings. While the decision may make financial sense if securing a more lucrative agreement elsewhere is his primary objective, questions remain over whether he could eventually regret leaving Turin without a clear destination among Europe’s elite clubs.
Europe’s top clubs remain cautious
According to Calciomercato, Vlahovic has yet to receive a concrete proposal from any of Europe’s leading sides despite repeated speculation linking him with clubs such as Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid.
Although rumours surrounding those clubs have persisted in recent months, none are believed to have made a serious move for the striker as attention shifts towards alternative targets in the transfer market.
Vlahovic is therefore expected to leave Juventus as a free agent before continuing his search for a new club, with uncertainty remaining over where he will continue his career next season.
The lack of firm interest from Europe’s top clubs has increased discussion surrounding whether the striker may eventually reconsider his decision to reject Juventus’ offer earlier in negotiations.
Besiktas emerge as strongest option
The report adds that Besiktas are currently the only club actively pushing to sign the Serbian forward and are prepared to meet the financial demands of both the player and his representatives.
A move to the Turkish Super Lig would represent a significant change in direction for Vlahovic at a stage of his career when many expected him to remain among Europe’s top leagues and competitions.
Juventus, meanwhile, continue planning for life without the striker as they assess attacking reinforcements ahead of the new campaign under Luciano Spalletti.
