Although Udinese have agreed a deal to sign Nicolo Zaniolo permanently from Galatasaray, they have yet to reach an agreement with the player over personal terms following his successful loan spell last season.
The Italian impressed during his time with Udinese, convincing the club to activate the option to make the move permanent. However, negotiations over his contract have stalled, creating uncertainty over whether the transfer will ultimately be completed this summer.
Contract talks remain unresolved
Zaniolo reportedly earned €3 million net per season at Galatasaray and is seeking a similar salary from Udinese. The Serie A club are unwilling to meet those demands and are instead prepared to offer around half that amount.
Providing an update on the discussions, his agent Claudio Vigorelli explained that negotiations remain ongoing but no agreement has yet been reached between the parties involved.
He told Sky Sport:
“The negotiations are currently not in agreement with the parties. We’re negotiating, but there’s no agreement. Any moment can be good, but if the conditions remain, we will evaluate the opportunities that will arise beyond Udinese.”
The comments have increased speculation surrounding the attacker’s future and opened the possibility of interest from other clubs if the situation remains unresolved in the coming weeks.
Juventus monitoring the situation
Juventus are now considering whether to enter the race for the attacker should Udinese fail to reach an agreement with the player.
Luciano Spalletti is looking to build a squad capable of competing for major honours next season, and Zaniolo is reportedly among the players he would like to work with if the opportunity becomes available.
Juventus have admired the Italian for several years and continues to view him as one of the country’s most talented attacking players despite the challenges he has faced in recent seasons.
If negotiations between Udinese and the player continue to stall, the Bianconeri could decide to step in and attempt to secure his signature before the transfer window closes.
