Alessandro Del Piero would not be surprised if Juventus struggle this season because he knows the Bianconeri are clearly not at their best level just yet.
The men at the Allianz Stadium missed out on Champions League football last season, but this is Luciano Spalletti’s first full season in charge of the team, and he has shown over the last few months that he is a terrific manager for the club. The manager has done his best to get some of their players into top shape, and he will be eager to continue showing that he has what it takes to deliver.
Juve could make a run for the Scudetto this term, but the club’s main goal would be to qualify for the next Champions League. We expect that to happen if the players all meet expectations during the season.
Juventus face a difficult season
Juve compete in the Europa League, and they are one of the top clubs in that tournament. We also expect them to do well there and even push to win the competition.
Del Piero would support them all the way, but he believes Juventus must recognise the difficulty of the season ahead. The team will face strong competition, and the former Juventus star understands that building a winning side will take time.

Del Piero backs Juventus
Del Piero’s comments underline the challenge facing Spalletti and his players. Juventus will hope to return to the Champions League while also competing strongly in the Europa League, but they must first prove that they can consistently perform at the required level.
