Jonathan David is working against Juventus in this transfer window as the Bianconeri look to offload him, with the Canadian keen to remain at the club. His first season was far from good enough, which is why Juventus believe the best next step is to sell him and replace him with another striker.

Luciano Spalletti expected David to return for pre-season sharper and in better form, but he has continued to produce similar performances. That situation contributed to the Bianconeri signing Randal Kolo Muani, who is now another option for the attack.

Juventus Want to Replace David

Kolo Muani cannot be the only suitable striker available for the long season ahead, so Juventus want to sell David and replace him with another frontman. However, the Canadian has other ideas and remains determined to stay at the club and prove that he can perform well in Turin.

That has created a difficult situation for the Bianconeri, who want to make changes to their attacking options. David’s willingness to remain means the club cannot simply proceed with their preferred plans, particularly if they want to bring in another striker before the transfer window closes.

David Rejects Efforts to Leave

According to Football Italia, David has continued to reject efforts to push him towards the exit, despite interest from a few clubs. The striker wants to leave on his own terms, meaning he would only consider a move to a team that meets his standards and demands.

Otherwise, David is more than happy to remain in Turin as a Juventus player. That is precisely what the Bianconeri do not want, as they are looking to move him on and bring in another striker to strengthen their squad.

The situation leaves Juventus needing to find a solution that satisfies both the club and the player. David wants the opportunity to prove himself, while Juventus believe his departure is necessary as they reshape their attack.

With the transfer window approaching its conclusion, the Bianconeri will hope an acceptable offer arrives and convinces David to leave. For now, however, the Canadian remains determined to stay unless a suitable opportunity emerges, leaving Juventus with a difficult transfer situation to resolve.
