As Atletico Madrid show serious interest in signing Jonathan David during this transfer window, Juventus are now rushing to add a new striker to their squad, with Nick Woltemade the latest name on their radar.
The German moved to Newcastle United last season to replace Alexander Isak and started his spell at the club in fine form, but he has since struggled in the role. The Bianconeri have also asked about Joshua Zirkzee and intend to sign only one of the two forwards. However, they want to secure an agreement for Woltemade as a potential alternative in case the Dutchman turns them down.
Zirkzee has already rejected a move to Fiorentina after the club reached an agreement with Manchester United to sign him. There is therefore no guarantee that he would agree to move to Juventus, leaving the Bianconeri keen to maintain another option.
