Juventus will always be expected to compete for the Scudetto, but even their most devoted fans would struggle to believe they can achieve that this season.
The Bianconeri remain a team in a rebuilding phase and have lost several key players to injury since the beginning of the campaign, making it difficult for them to compete at the highest level.
Their most important rivals have performed well over the years and maintained a high standard, meaning Juve have plenty of work to do if they want to challenge for the league title this season.
For now, their priority has to be securing a return to the Champions League after failing to qualify at the end of last season. The men in black and white know they need to improve on what they have shown so far if they are to secure that position.
Juventus Still Have Scudetto Ambitions
However, what their fans will always want is for their team to compete for the league title, and Juve continue to have that ambition as they face one opponent after another in Serie A.
The question is when they can realistically become Italian champions again, particularly as they continue to rebuild their squad and work towards returning to the level required to compete for major honours.
Fabrizio Ravanelli believes the club could return to the top in the next few years. He said via Calciomercato:
“I think they can win again in two or three years. The back three are strong, and with Yildiz, Alajabegovic, Kolo Muani, and maybe another striker, Juve are rebuilding. I think Juve have six or seven players ready to win the Scudetto.”
Ravanelli Sees a Strong Foundation
Ravanelli believes Juventus already have several players capable of contributing to a future Scudetto-winning team, while the rebuilding process could give them the opportunity to strengthen further.
His assessment suggests that Juventus may need more time before they can seriously challenge for the title again, with the current squad still developing and adapting to the demands of competing at the highest level.
For now, the immediate objective remains securing Champions League football, while the longer-term ambition is to build a team capable of competing for the Scudetto once again.
