“That has been missing” Marchisio wants continuity at Juventus

Claudio Marchisio believes Juventus have lacked continuity for some time, and he wants to see that return to the club this season as Juve continue their rebuilding process.

For several seasons, the Bianconeri have adopted a hire-and-fire culture, with numerous managers, sporting directors and CEOs coming and going. This has made it difficult for the club to establish a long-term approach.

A more consistent strategy could help Juventus build towards sustained success, and the club needs to develop a plan that it can follow for as long as possible.

So far, they have not managed to do that, and Marchisio wants to see greater stability at his former club. The former midfielder is concerned about the direction the team has taken over the last few seasons.

Marchisio calls for stability

Marchisio believes Juventus need greater continuity both on and off the pitch. He has pointed towards the number of changes at the club as a significant issue and wants the current leadership to be allowed to establish its approach.

He said, as quoted by Football Italia:

“Continuity on and off the pitch. That’s the thing that has been missing over the last few years with so many changes in the dugout and throughout the club. We have to trust Carnevali, Massara and Ottolini now.”

His comments highlight the importance of allowing the club’s current structure to develop rather than continuing with frequent changes.

Juventus need a long-term plan

Juve need to focus on a long-term plan, particularly after several seasons of inconsistency. Frequent changes in key positions have made it difficult for the club to maintain a consistent direction.

Marchisio wants to see Juventus establish greater stability as they rebuild. The Bianconeri will need to determine the direction they want to follow and maintain that approach for as long as possible.

The club’s ability to build continuity could therefore be important as Juventus attempts to create a more consistent team and establish a clearer path for the future.
