Juventus are preparing to sell Lois Openda at the end of the season as he continues to perform well on loan at Lyon, where the French side are happy to start him regularly.
During his only season at Juventus, Openda struggled badly and was soon left out of the team for several matches. As a result, he had to leave the club on loan to find more regular playing time and rebuild his confidence.
His move to Lyon has provided an important opportunity to regain his form. So far, he has been improving as he receives considerably more game time than he would have been expected to get at Juventus.
The Bianconeri are confident that they will receive offers for the attacker in the summer, even if Lyon cannot make his move permanent. Juventus will be looking to recover a significant portion of the money they spent to sign him.
Juventus set Openda asking price
Calciomercato reveals that Openda would be valued at 30m euros on Juventus’ balance sheet at the end of the season. The Bianconeri would therefore be looking for offers in that region if they decide to sell him.
His performances between now and the end of the campaign could have a major influence on the level of interest he attracts. A strong season in France would give Juventus a better chance of receiving the kind of offer they want.
Lyon’s decision to give him regular opportunities has already helped Openda regain some confidence, but there is still plenty of time for his situation to change.

Openda must continue improving
A lot will depend on how Openda performs for the remainder of the season. His displays at Lyon could determine whether another club is willing to meet Juventus’ valuation in the summer.
The situation is also important for the player himself. Regular football in France allows him to continue developing and show that his difficult spell in Turin does not define his ability.
If he can maintain his improvement, Juventus could have a better chance of finding a buyer willing to meet their expectations. However, if his performances decline, he could find himself back in Turin and facing another period on the bench.
For now, Openda’s priority is to make the most of his loan spell and continue proving his value at Lyon.
