Aston Villa refuse to reduce their asking price for Juventus target

Aston Villa are determined to keep Emiliano Martinez beyond this summer despite strong interest from Juventus, with Sky Italia reporting that the English club have no intention of lowering their asking price for the goalkeeper.

Villa reportedly value Martinez at around €10 million plus bonuses, while Juventus believe the fee should be lower and are attempting to negotiate a reduced valuation as they explore options for a new first-choice goalkeeper.

Juventus Goalkeeper Search Continues

Martinez has been in excellent form over recent seasons and has established himself as one of the most reliable goalkeepers in European football. Juventus have identified him as a key target after failing to secure a move for Alisson Becker, with Liverpool making it clear that the Brazilian is not available for transfer.

As a result, the Bianconeri have shifted their focus towards Martinez and now consider him one of their primary targets in the position as they look to strengthen ahead of the new campaign.

The Argentinian’s profile makes him an attractive option, given his experience at the highest level, including winning the World Cup with Argentina and playing a key role in Aston Villa’s recent success, which included a Europa League triumph.

Villa Firm on Valuation

Despite Juventus’ interest, Villa remain in a strong negotiating position. The club are financially stable and are under no pressure to sell, allowing them to maintain a firm stance on their valuation.

They believe Martinez remains an essential part of their squad and are prepared to resist approaches unless their financial demands are met in full. This could force Juventus into a difficult decision if they decide to prioritise him over alternative targets.

Juventus are expected to continue monitoring the situation, but a deal will likely depend on whether they are willing to meet Villa’s valuation or shift their attention to more affordable goalkeeper options on their shortlist.
